Program Review Procedures

IBHE requires that program review occurs on an eight-year cycle for existing degree/certificate programs and centers/institutes, with the institution determining the schedule for individual programs and centers/institutes. It also requires that programs with the following characteristics follow a three-year review cycle:

a) Newly IBHE approved degree programs which have been implemented for three years
b) Programs in which state licensure requires specialized accreditation for students to obtain professional licensure, but which have not yet achieved accreditation
c) Programs flagged for attention or improvement by the institution
d) Programs with institution-determined temporary suspensions of enrollment
